SHOUT IT is a simple, short, yet powerful statement that is a call to live a life of purpose, passion, conviction, and love. SHOUT IT begins and ends with TRUTH. I believe the single greatest reason why the church is not effectively reaching the lost and loving others is because we have neglected the truth. We fail to understand want we believe and more importantly we fail to live out what we believe. This is where the slogan for SHOUT IT comes from.” Know the Truth. Live the Truth.” -is a simple two step process. First you must fully grasp your faith and why you believe what you believe, then you must take those truths and apply them into your daily life. The phrase SHOUT IT is an acrostic covering seven basic principles that encompass this slogan: Stand Up, Holiness, Outrageous, Unite, Thankfulness, Integrity, and Tell Them. The first word, SHOUT, focuses on loving yourself, God, and the church. The second word, IT, focuses on loving the lost and bringing them to Christ. SHOUT IT is in all caps because every principle is equally important and no single principle is more important than the others. All seven principles need to be carried out in order to effectively live the life we were meant to live.
There are seven main objectives that I want to accomplish from this ministry/website:
- Educate believers on the issues and topics that we have faced with in today’s society
- Explore God’s Word and apply it’s truths into our daily lives
- Embrace our God-given talents and discover our unique personal calling
- Equip believers with the knowledge and understanding of the truth
- Empower the church to reach a lost and hurting world in need of love
- Establish loving, lasting relationships within the body of Christ
- Experience a life of purpose, passion, and potential
An overview of this website: on the Homepage, I will write on current topics and issues we face today as the church, show you to apply biblical truths, and Also in Kyle’s Kaleidoscope, I will write on my personal life and how I see the world. This will enforce what I’m personally dealing with in effect with what I’m preaching with SHOUT IT. The Mission Statement is the basis on the entire SHOUT IT project–all the main principles and the sub-principles under them. The entire Mission Statement is now posted and complete as of May 2010. In Topics, I have a large list of topics that I will cover in the upcoming year(s) in no particular order. Some Topics will take one week to write; others several weeks. Also upcoming Profiles and principles I’m going to cover in the Manual will be posted here. In Profiles, I’ll give a short bio on a Christian author, music artist, or athlete about once a month. It’ll provide you information on how they came to know Christ, how they are impacting others, and what we can learn from them. In Links, I have three separate lists: websites that will further help you understand the truth, websites that will help you reach a world in need, and misc. websites that deal with Christian music, books, products, current news, etc. In the Manual, I will give a detailed look on every principle of the Mission Statement tying in with my blogs. Expect the first chapter on Surrendering to God in early to mid July 2010. In SPECIAL, you’ll be to discover who you are. This is where application to the principles in the blogs and Manual will be. Expect this section to be lanuched at the end of July 2010. Finally, in Contact Me, I give you a brief intro to who I am, the e-mail address you can use to reach me, and a short disclaimer on the content of this website.
In the distant future 2011-2013, this website will include more ways to get YOU involved. It’ll include polls, surveys, forums, personal profiles, album/book reviews, a quote/bible verse of the day, personal testimonies, daily devotionals, and much more! For now, this website will get you familiar on the basic principles of SHOUT IT and how to apply these truths. Also it’ll serve me more time to reach more people and get the word out about this website. Please keep this ministry in your prayers and may you be blessed through it.
